Many researchers in academic ranking, representatives and leaders of higher education institutions were present at the forum to discuss the issues of national ranking and ranking’s impact on educational institutions.

According to the agenda, Waldemar Siwinski (Poland), Gero Federkeil (Germany), Ivan Ostrovsky (Slovakia), Francesco Grillo (Italy) and others delivered their reports. In the name of Kazakhstan, Sholpan Kalanova, president of Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency for Education, delivered a speech on the theme “Role of university rankings in Kazakhstan” in the panel session. To sum up, this Forum enabled the participants to be informed not only about rankings of some definite countries, but also at the global level.
