At the time of the forth industrial revolution increasing demands will be placed on the skills and knowledge qualified blue-collar workers in various sectors of the economy, so colleges should also be interested in improving the quality of education in order to prepare graduates which are more competitive in the labor market.
On the part of the State there is a high interest in training of qualified blue-collar job specialists and involving wider groups of young people in training in VET organizations. Upon the initiative of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, which was first introduced in the Message to the People of Kazakhstan dated January 31, 2017, "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", the project "Free Vocational Education and Training for everyone" is being implemented. The need to continue relevant work was also noted in the Message to the People of Kazakhstan of January 10, 2018 "New Development Opportunities in the Context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution".
Therefore, responding to government directives and realizing the importance of improving the quality of the system of Vocational Education and Training, the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education "Rating" has been conducting annual college ranking since 2015.
Annual participation in National Rating allows colleges to remind or even express themselves to all interested parties: enrolling teens and their parents, partners of colleges - small, medium and large businesses, industry associations and organizations, central state and local representative and executive bodies.
The National Rating, when ranking educational organizations, takes into account the main aspects of their activities. The methodology of the National rating of Kazakhstan colleges is presented in detail on the Agency's website www.nkaoko.kz. The maximum overview assessment of college's achievements is based on self-assessed indicators and amounts to 100%. Including the indicators of enrollment - 15%, the results of their training - 20%, the quality of technical educational specialists- 20%. 15% each accounts for cooperation with enterprises, undergoing by college or its educational programs accreditation process and assessment of college's website.
We hope that the results of the National rating of colleges-2018 will be useful for the enrollees and their parents, and for all other interested parties.
